Our anis & licorice-based Potion, which is similar to Greek ouzo, Balkan rakia or Lebanese arak, is old school.
But contrary to the popular brands, we don’t add sugar and aromas once distilled. So our Potion isn’t keen on too much added water.
It requires 4 to 5 days maceration of 8 herbs, slowly distilled in our 500L Barison pot still. It develops a beautiful "louche" that wonderful haze that emanates from the oil, fennel and licorice.
Served on ice, with a little bit of water or in a cocktail, Potion will make you believe you’re in southern France, watching Van Gogh paint a masterpiece!
